| The man Lane Frost was a wonderful Christian man and an amazing bull rider. Lane was born in 1963 and won the World Champion Bull Rider title in Dec of 1987. He was Tuff Hedeman's best friend. Lane was born again on March 8, 1988 a Christian man. He died the following year at the Cheyenne Frontier Days Rodeo. He had ridden his last bull (Takin' Care of Business) of the event and when he dismounted from the bull a horn got him and hit a vital organ that killed him in minutes if not seconds. This is the reason you now see cowboys wearing a vest in the arena. Lane's friend Cody Lambert came up with them after what happened to Lane in order to help protect and save the lives of other cowboys.
